Here are Tuesday's high school sports results for the Wausau and Stevens Point area

TRACK AND FIELD

Wisconsin Valley Conference Championships

MERRILL - Stevens Point won the boys team title with 197 points and Marshfield won the girls team title with 163 points.

Bode Erickson won the 800-meter run and the 1,600 for SPASH. Blake Postler of D.C. Everest won the 110 and 300 hurdles events, and Cole Stevens of D.C. Everest won the shot put and the discus.

In the girls meet, Roisin Willis of Stevens Point, Sara Mlodik of D.C. Everest and Brenna Lehrke of D.C. Everest won two individual events.

Willis was the winner of the 200 and the 400, Mlodik won the 1,600 and the 3,200, and Lehrke won the long jump and the triple jump.

Great Northern Conference Championships

ANTIGO - Mosinee won the girls meet with 198.5 points with seven first-place finishes.

Multiple winners for Mosinee included Kate Fitzgerald in the 200- and 400-meter dashes and Brooke Baumann, who won both the shot put and the discus.

Rhinelander finished first in the boys meet with 164 points.

Cole Worrall had a strong meet for the Hodags, winning the 110-meter hurdles (:15.69), the 300 hurdles (:41.95) and the 200 (:22.71).

Medford’s Joe Sullivan won the 1,600 with a time of 4:30.12 and the 3,200 with a time of 10:19.09.

Mosinee’s Walker Beyerl won both weight events, taking the shot put with a put of 47-3 and the discus with a throw of 144-11.

Marawood Conference Championships

MARATHON - Stratford won the boys title with 126.5 points, using first-place finishes in two individual and two relay events to power to the title.

Marathon had four first-place finishes to win the girls title with 154.5 points.

In the boys meet, Terrence Roberson took first in three individual events and one relay event. The Auburndale athlete took first in the long jump (21-1.5), first in the 100-meter dash (:11.12), first in the 200 (:22.87) and first in the 400 relay (:46.07) in which he teamed up with Gavin White Eagle, Austin Quinlan and Parker Empey for the win.

Athens’ Connor Sheahan won the 1,600 and 3,200 with times of 4:48.82 and 10:40.54, respectively.

In the girls meet, Jenna Aschenbrenner of Marathon was a three-time winner, taking first in the pole vault (10-0), first in the high jump (4-10) and first in the 400 relay (:52.45) with teammates Jersey Lobner, Alexander Kraimer and Grace Kahon.

Edgar’s Morgan Schnelle won the 100 (:12.76) and the 200 (:26.47).

Stratford’s Jaidyn Wright took first in the long jump with a leap of 16-7 and first in the triple jump with a jump of 34-11.

SOFTBALL

Stevens Point 18, Wausau East 3

WAUSAU - The Panthers scored in all six innings they batted and finished with 21 hits in the victory over the Lumberjacks.

Emma Rajkowski was 4-for-4 with five RBIs for SPASH. Kaitlyn Klismith, Maddie Miklesh and Kyla O’Neal each had three hits. Miklesh drove in three runs and Klismith had two RBIs. Rajkowski and O’Neal each had two doubles.

Maren Sauvageau pitched four innings for the win. She allowed three hits, zero earned runs and struck out three.

Wausau East got two hits from Baley Berndt and Olivia Thome had a triple and three RBIs.

Wisconsin Rapids 2, Wausau West 1

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Rhiannon Carroll allowed five hits and one run to lead the Red Raiders to the win over the Warriors.

Megan Clary had two hits for Wisconsin Rapids. Sawyer Holberg had a double.

Sophia Peissig had two hits for Wausau West.

Pacelli 17, Rosholt 1

STEVENS POINT - The Cardinals clinched their fourth consecutive softball conference title with the win over the Hornets.

Ava Tess, Hannah Trzinski and Laine Ilkka each had two hits for Pacelli, with each one driving in two runs. Sydney Gavin drove in three runs.

Trzinski allowed three hits, one walk and one run while striking out six to get the win.

Morgan Kluck took the loss for Rosholt.

Auburndale 18, Pittsville 3

AUBURNDALE - The Eagles scored nine runs in the first inning and cruised to a four-inning victory over the Panthers.

Ashlyn Grimm was the winning pitcher. She gave up four hits, two earned runs and struck out five.

Kylie Frischman was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored, Samantha Stanton had a double and three RBIs, Erin Griesbach was 2-for-2 with two RBIs, and Regynn Lau was 2-for-2 with two RBIs for Auburndale. Grimm and Mya Krings both added doubles for the Eagles.

Edgar 15, Prentice 0

PRENTICE - The Wildcats scored six runs in the first inning and never looked back in the win over the Buccaneers.

Reagan Borchardt had three singles for Edgar, while Makayla Wirkus had a double. Morgan Streveler also had a double. Jessica Mucha had two singles.

Streveler, who got the win for Edgar, didn’t allow a hit. She walked two and hit two batters while striking out five.

Athens 6, Newman Catholic 4

ATHENS - The Bluejays’ Elle Gauerke had three hits and Sophia Coker had two to lead Athens to the win over the Cardinals.

Siarra Hart pitched a complete game and got the win for Athens.

Ashley Jankowski, Lilly Ziemetz, Maria Christopherson and Annika Svennes all had two hits for Newman Catholic. Anna Brown drove in two runs.

Jankowski took the loss for Newman Catholic.

Wautoma 2, Iola-Scandinavia 1

WAUTOMA - Briana Buechner scored twice on sacrifice flies by Ava Stahl after hitting triples, leading the Hornets to the win over the Thunderbirds.

Bri Handel pitched a complete game and got the win for Wautoma. Handel walked one and struck out 10.

Maddie Much took the loss for Iola-Scandinavia. Much walked one and struck out four.

Columbus Catholic 13, Colby/Abbotsford 3

MARSHFIELD - The Dons scored eight times in the fourth inning to break open their contest with the Hornets.

Columbus used five singles, a walk, a double and an error to score the runs.

Hailey Zimmerman got the win for Columbus Catholic.

Tatum Bargender took the loss for Colby/Abbotsford.

BASEBALL

Stevens Point 6, Wisconsin Rapids 2

STEVENS POINT - Kaden Thauer allowed two runs on three hits with two walks to lead the Panthers to the win over the Red Raiders.

Kael Roth and Noah Marschke both had two hits with a double for Stevens Point. Riley Warzynski also had a double.

Pacelli 5, Rosholt 0

STEVENS POINT - Brock Birrenkott and Drew Kedrowicz combined to pitch a one-hitter, leading the Cardinals to the win over the Hornets.

The victory improved Pacelli to 8-0 in the Central Wisconsin Conference-South, while Rosholt fell to 7-1.

Birrenkott pitched the first five innings, allowing one hit and two walks while striking out eight. Kedrowicz pitched the final two innings, allowing no baserunners and striking out five.

Kedrowicz and Birrenkott both drove in two runs.

Blade Niewiadomski took the loss for Rosholt.

West De Pere 6, Wausau West 1

DE PERE - The Phantoms jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but didn’t score again until the fifth - which proved to be the difference-maker as the Warriors could only plate a single run.

Ethan Susa went the distance for West De Pere, going seven innings with only four hits, three walks and one run allowed while striking out nine.

Thomas Walder had two hits and two RBIs for the Phantoms. Ethan Neuens also had two hits, including a double.

Stratford 10, Assumption 0

STRATFORD - Jack Tubbs drove in four runs and Camden Daul pitched a complete-game three-hitter to lead the Tigers to the win over the Royals.

Daul, who also had two hits and scored twice, struck out nine for Stratford and got the win.

Tubbs and Braeden Schueller also scored twice. Dillion Kirsch had a triple.

Jack Klatt took the loss for Assumption.

Athens 12, Newman Catholic 4

ATHENS - The Bluejays scored five times in the third inning to take the lead for good in the win over the Cardinals.

Cooper Diedrich had four hits and scored three runs for Athens. Kody Lepak had three hits and scored twice. Nathan Wolf also had three hits. Connor Sheahan had two hits, and Hunter Haehlke and Nick Pittman scored twice.

James Bates had two hits for Newman Catholic.

Brooks Kraus pitched 6⅔ innings to get the win. Carson Rice took the loss for Newman Catholic.

Pittsville 19, Gresham 1

GRESHAM - The Panthers’ Evan Haley had three hits, including two doubles, four RBIs and two runs scored in the win over the Wildcats.

Brad Neve had two hits, including a double, for Pittsville. Waylon Grimm was 3-for-4 with a double, four RBIs and three runs scored.

Haley pitched five innings, allowing one run on four hits and four walks, while striking out five to get the win.

GIRLS SOCCER

Stevens Point 6, Wausau East 1

STEVENS POINT - Kylie Groshek scored two goals for the Panthers in the win over the Lumberjacks.

Camille Schoenberg, Brooke Lepper, Keely Rosenfield and Avery Pezewski also scored for SPASH.

Lexi Molski was in goal for the Panthers and made eight saves.

Madelyn Wunsch scored for Wausau East.

Ollie Liss’s-Gravemade and Madalyn Bartz shared time in goal for Wausau East and each made 14 saves.

Assumption 10, Arcadia 0

ARCADIA - The Royals built an 8-0 lead in the first half and cruised to the win over Arcadia.

Kendall Duellman had a hat trick for Assumption. Sarah Shaw and Clara Kubis both scored twice. Addi Vollert, Aislinn Dolan and Mally Steinle also had goals for Assumption. Duellman had two assists.

Morgan Reichl was in goal for Assumption.
