Division 2 sectional semifinals

Winneconne 11, Kettle Moraine Lutheran 0

WINNECONNE - The Wolves scored in five of the six innings, including a five-run sixth, to register the sectional win.

Aubrey Thorpe powered the Winneconne attack, going 2-for-4 with a double and a home run with four RBIs. Claire Kollat was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, while Jordan Biesinger was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Macey Clark picked up the win in the circle, limiting Kettle Moraine Lutheran to three hits in six innings, walking one while striking out 11.

BASEBALL

Division 1 regionals

Neenah 9, Oshkosh West 2

NEENAH - The Rockets scored in every inning but the second, putting away the game with a five-run sixth.

Carter Thomas picked up the win, allowing just three hits, two runs - one earned - and zero walks in six innings. He struck out seven.

Brady Corso was 2-for-2 with three runs scored and one RBI, while Gradin Taschner and Evan Paque were 2-for-3. Eli Schmidt drove in three runs, while Andrew Carlson drove in two.

Samuel Heidl led the Wildcats, going 1-for-2 with a pair of RBIs.

Division 2 regionals

Kiel 8, Campbellsport 5

CAMPBELLSPORT - Kiel used a six-run second inning to stun the Cougars in regional action.

Brett Hartlaub threw a complete game for Kiel and had three RBIs. Tate Hartlaub was 1-for-2 with two walks, and Daniel Schmitz had two hits with a double and two RBIs.

Jalen Gellings led Campbellsport with three hits.

Hartford Sectional

HARTFORD - Mason Schmidtke of Sheboygan North outdueled Will Mauthe of Fond du Lac and Will Summers of Slinger by one stroke for medalist honors with a 75 as the Golden Raiders took first with a 318 team score.

Fond du Lac also qualified for state as a team with a 331. Neenah’s John Callahan qualified as an individual after tying for sixth with a 79.

NORTH PRAIRIE - Xavier won the team title with a 308 score to advance to state, along with second-place University School of Milwaukee at Broadlands Golf Club.

Owen Gardner of University School and Andrew Kettle of Sheboygan Falls both shot 73 to lead individuals.

Ryan Draheim shot 75 and Matthew Draheim shot 76 to lead Xavier.

Kettle advanced to state as an individual.

MARINETTE - Winneconne had three of the top four scores as the Wolves took first as a team with a 322 total. Berlin also qualified for the state meet, taking second with a 337.

Winston Knobloch and Casey Peters of the Wolves tied for medalist honors with Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s Calvin Schuerer, all with 78s. Ben Henning of Winneconne tied for fourth with Wisconsin Dells’ Grant Marsich, both with 79s.

Schuerer, Marsich and Wrightstown’s Grant Delsart all earned state qualifying honors. Delsart defeated Cole Noreen of Columbus Catholic/Spencer, Jett Walters of Mosinee and Grant Bauman of Peshtigo in a playoff after all four finished with 80s.

GREEN LAKE - Neillsville’s Nolan John fired an 84 to finish sixth individually and punch his ticket to the state golf tournament.

Lancaster’s Noah Kirsch was medalist with a 76.

Mineral Point won the team title with a 335, while Lancaster was second at 357 as both qualified for state as a team.

Neillsville placed third with a 371, while Central Wisconsin Christian was 10th at 430.
