SHERWOOD - Bay Port won the sectional title and Kaukauna finished second as both teams advanced to the state tournament, which will be held Oct. 10-11 at University Ridge in Madison.

Bay Port finished with a 344 total. Kaukauna was second at 350, one shot ahead of Notre Dame and two shots ahead of Appleton North.

AJ Powell of Appleton North won the individual sectional title with a 73 to advance to state. Other individual state qualifiers were Sophia Baek (81) and Grace Durkin (82) of Notre Dame.

Adalyn Johnston shot 80 and Ava Beranek shot 81 to lead Bay Port players.

NORTH PRAIRIE - Danielle Bruecker of Wrightstown shot 78 to earn medalist honors and lead the Tigers to a second-place finish.

The Prairie School shot 354 and Wrightstown shot 356 to both advance to the state tournament, which is Oct. 10-11 at University Ridge in Madison.

Aliisa Helminen of Xavier and Lilly Kaminski of Denmark both shot 80 to advance to state as individuals.

DE PERE - The Pirates outlasted the Redbirds 22-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-11 in the Fox River Classic Conference match.

De Pere's statistical leaders included Kenzie Hnilicka with 10 kills and four aces, and Taylor Coleman with six kills.

Notre Dame 3, Pulaski 0

PULASKI - The Tritons defeated the Red Raiders 25-17, 25-19, 25-14 in a Fox River Classic Conference match.

Notre Dame was led by Mya Kapalko with 21 digs. She also had 10 kills. Maddie Wolfram had 10 digs while Liv Jeanquart and Danielle Dow had 17 and 13 assists, respectively.

Pulaski was led by Emily Bruss with 15 assists and Ashton Birr with 15 digs. Alexia Thibodeau and Hailey Wiedeman added 10 and eight digs, respectively. Thibodeau had a team-leading six kills for Pulaski. Gianna Logue had four and Lauren Kellner had three.

Manitowoc 3, Ashwaubenon 0

ASHWAUBENON - The Ships had little trouble defeating the Jaguars, winning 25-10, 25-3, 25-12 in a Fox River Classic Conference match.

Leading Ashwaubenon were Grace Fruzen with 22 assists, nine digs and five aces; Ellie Schuster with 10 assists; Nena Swoboda with 11 digs and 10 kills; Laurin Hamann with seven digs and two aces; Olivia Konkle with three aces; Maddie York with 17 kills; and Karenna Sorenson with eight kills.

Luxemburg-Casco 3, Waupaca 0

LUXEMBURG - The Spartans swept the Comets 25-17, 25-16, 25-21.

Alayna Deprez had a team-high 22 assists for Luxemburg-Casco. Brooke VandeHei and Kylie Hanson had 13 and 11 digs, respectively. Hanson had a team-high nine kills, while Autumn Flynn added seven.

“It was a nice win,” Luxemburg-Casco coach Jeffrey Frey said. “Waupaca is a much-improved team. They were on a roll coming in. I was happy with a lot of thigs we did tonight, just need to continue to focus on the little things.”

Xavier 3, Seymour 0

SEYMOUR - The Hawks improved to 5-0 in the Bay Conference and 28-7 overall with the 25-12, 25-13, 25-21 win over the Thunder.

Mariah Potter had 32 assists and 15 digs for Xavier. Haley Flick had 10 aces. Annnika Kowalski and Mattea Kiepert were 1-2 in kills with 15 and 11, respectively.

Crivitz 3, St. Thomas Aquinas 0

CRIVITZ - The Wolverines started fast and never looked back as they cruised to a 25-12, 25-9, 25-10 Marinette & Oconto Conference victory.

Hailee Gyger led Crivitz with 10 assists, six aces and five kills, while Kylie Chilcote added four kills, four assists and two kills. Senya Caine added three aces and five kills, while Taryn Tracy had three aces.

Wausaukee 3, Lena 2

WAUSAUKEE - The Rangers defeated the Wildcats in a closely contested match 25-19, 25-23, 20-25, 22-25, 15-13.

Nellie Dunlap had 35 assists for Wausaukee and 19 digs. Lydia Schaal also had a double-double with 18 kills and 10 digs. Rachel Schlies had 20 digs and 12 kills. Melody Schall had 33 digs.

Suring 3, Gillett 1

SURING - The Eagles defeated the Tigers 23-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-13.

Suring was led by MaShya Seefeldt with 15 assists, Christine Sleeter with 13 kills and Emma Kristoff with 10 digs.

NEW Lutheran 3, Peshtigo 2

PESHTIGO - The Blazers defeated the Bulldogs 14-25, 25-21, 23-25, 26-24, 15-8.

Greta Wise led NEW Lutheran with 33 kills and also had 25 digs. Abby Kirchner had a team-high 47 assists to go along with 27 digs. Lexi Dhein had 31 digs. Emma Laatsch had a double-double with 11 kills and 13 digs.

Sevastopol 3, Kewaunee 0

STURGEON BAY - The Pioneers cruised to the 25-6, 25-13, 25-14 Packerland Conference triumph over the Storm.

Leading Sevastopol were Jo Andreae with 12 kills, Alaina Schopf with eight kills and Claire Haberli with nine digs.

BOYS SOCCER

Notre Dame 4, Pulaski 1

GREEN BAY - The Division 3 top-ranked Tritons scored three first-half goals and held on from there for the Fox River Classic Conference win.

Emmett Lawton got things going for Notre Dame with a goal in the 11th minute, before Elliot Bordini made it 2-0 three minutes later. Ian Noble scored off an assist by Henry McKenna in the 27th minute to close out the first half.

Noble made it 4-0 off an assist from Lawton in the 59th minute to all but seal the victory.

Ben Uelman scored an unassisted goal for Pulaski in the 73rd minute.

Notre Dame outshot Pulaski 11-3 as Mason Baker registered seven saves for the Red Raiders, while Arturo Ottum-Cortez made two saves for the Tritons.

The loss dropped Pulaski to 12-4-1 overall and 2-3-1 in league play.

Green Bay Preble 1, Sheboygan North 1

SHEBOYGAN - Abraham Navarro scored on a free kick late in the second half as the Hornets salvaged a tie with the Golden Raiders.

Fernando Calzada had four saves for Preble.

Bay Port 2, De Pere 1

DE PERE - Garrett Solcz scored two goals in the first half to lead the Pirates to the Fox River Classic Conference win.

Jacob Calewarts scored a goal for De Pere with an assist by Aiden Cartier.

De Pere goalie Brayden Coyle made eight saves for De Pere.

Appleton West 3, Notre Dame 0

GREEN BAY - Liam Richards had 16 kills as the Terrors topped the Tritons 25-17, 25-21, 25-23.

West was also paced by Cooper Brown with eight kills and Brenden Nesemann with 25 assists.
