GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Oshkosh West 3, Neenah 1

NEENAH - The Wildcats took a 21-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-22 win over the Rockets.

Leading the Neenah offense were Marissa Corso with 12 kills and five digs, Makenna Baker with nine kills and three blocks, Claudia Merizon with five kills, 16 assists, four aces and eight digs, Jenna Lawatsch with three aces and 18 digs, Leia Kersten with 19 assists, Elizabeth Oldenburg with 11 digs, Haley Mayer with five kills, and Kenzie Ullrich with 16 digs.

“Oshkosh West did a great job of fighting for every point tonight,” Neenah coach Emily Bennett said.

Fond du Lac 3, Appleton West 1

FOND DU LAC - The Cardinals topped the Terrors 25-14, 25-21, 22-25, 25-11 in a Fox Valley Association match.

Leading the Terrors were Audrey Rosenbaum with 17 kills, Siena Busalacchi with four blocks and two aces, Claire Crawford with 20 assists and Neveah Hernandez with 18 digs.

Central Wisconsin Christian 3, Hustisford 1

HUSTISFORD - The Crusaders defeated the Falcons 26-24, 19-25, 25-19, 25-13 to improve to 12-2 overall.

Elise Ritzema and Ada Smies led Central Wisconsin Christian with 19 and 16 kills, respectively. Kaitlyn Vander Werff had 39 assists. Erin Ruis, Ritzema and Tabitha Buwalda had 28, 25 and 23 digs, respectively.

BOYS SOCCER

Winnebago Lutheran 5, Wayland Academy 3

BEAVER DAM - Seth Schroeder scored three goals, and Jeffrey Huey and Max Hansmann scored one each as the Vikings held off Wayland in a Flyway Conference match.

Caleb Olson, Eli Finn, Keynen Wisse and Schroeder each added assists.

Scoring goals for Wayland were Emre Kocer, Marc De Ramos and Ugar Can.

Nick Russ had 11 saves for WLA.

“It was kind of a wild, back and forth game,” Vikings coach David Haag said. “Seth Schroeder keeps piling up the goals for us, and we had a lot of other close calls which would have added to the lead. But Wayland is a dangerous attacking team and they kept it interesting until the end. The bottom line for us is that we were able to go 3-0 in the conference.”

North Fond du Lac United 2, Mayville 0

FOND DU LAC - Brian Gonzalez and Kellan Gill each scored goals as North Fond du Lac/Oakfield/Springs held off the Cardinals.

Luke Bijl added an assist.

Yovani Avila had one save in the shutout.

Appleton West 3, Fond du Lac 0

APPLETON - The Terrors defeated the Cardinals 25-21, 25-18, 25-15.

Liam Richards led Appleton West with 12 kills. Cooper Brown had five kills. Brenden Nesemann had 22 assists.
