BOYS SOCCER

Stevens Point 4, Wausau East 0

WAUSAU - Cole Anderson had one goal and one assist as the Panthers rolled past the Lumberjacks.

Also scoring goals for Stevens Point were Andrew Falkavage, Ben Omernik and Omar Mata.

Ben Mata added an assist.

In net for SPASH, goalies Efrain Jaimes-Patino Jr. and Cole Sallet combined for four saves.

Wausau East goalie Connor Smith made 11 saves.

Marshfield 8, Merrill 0

MARSHFIELD - The Tigers had little trouble with the Bluejays as Julian Copton led the way with two goals and two assists.

Also scoring for Marshfield were Brett Manigal, Keegan Fredrick, Maahir Patel, Braxton Kurth, Isaac Gamble and Payton Schreiner.

Manigal, Michele Pifferi and Kai Rens added assists.

Marshfield keepers made one save as Kai Rens turned away one shot in the first half, while Zak Meyer and Alex Pfeifer were not tested.

Kekoa Schuetze made 10 saves in net for the Bluejays.

Marshfield outshot Merrill 18-1.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Stevens Point 3, Wausau East 1

WAUSAU - The Panthers defeated the Lumberjacks 19-25, 25-22, 28-26, 25-22.

Leading the Panthers were Emma Jossie with 41 assists, Emma Barton with 14 kills, five blocks and two aces, Alli Schrank with 19 digs and two aces, Sommer Wright with 18 digs, Sam Nickel with 14 digs, Ali Torhorst with nine kills, Jade Zagrzebski and Abby Klismith with seven kills each, and Maria Ananiadis with four blocks.

Marshfield 3, Merrill 0

MARSHFIELD - The Tigers stayed perfect in Wisconsin Valley Conference play at 11-0 and moved to 32-3 overall with the 25-15, 25-18, 25-7 victory.

Leading the way for Marshfield were Abby Ongna with 13 kills and four service aces, Caitlyn Pernsteiner with 10 kills, Lauren Homolka with seven kills, Reinya Balderson with 30 assists and eight digs, Elise Uphoff with 11 digs and Grace Taylor with eight digs.

Cadott 3, Loyal 0

LOYAL - The Hornets swept the Greyhounds in the Cloverbelt Conference crossover match.

Cadott posted wins of 25-17, 25-15, 25-17.

Leading the Hornets were Lauryn Goettl with 15 kills, 10 digs, two aces and 18 assists, Elly Eiler with 13 kills, seven digs and 10 assists, and Emma Kowalczyk with five kills and nine digs.
