STEVENS POINT - Emma Jossie scored 23 points and Lauren Strasman had 19 to lead the Panthers to the victory in their Wisconsin Valley Conference opener.

Jossie pulled down eight rebounds and Adaleah Nest had six assists.

Reese Ryan scored 10 points for SPASH, which improved to 4-3 overall.

AUBURNDALE - The Eagles coasted on a 22-point halftime lead to defeat the Fighting Cardinals.

Annamarie Aue led all scorers with 21 points, including three made 3-pointers. Ashlyn Grimm also made three triples, finishing with 15 points for Auburndale.

Maggie Wulf had 12 points to lead Newman Catholic. Sidney Galang added 10 points.

GREEN BAY - Andrea Butterbrodt and Helena Paplham combined for 31 points to lead the Hornets to the overtime victory over the Cardinals.

Amelia Jacoby led Pacelli with 26 points.

Jaydon Awe led Pacelli with 18 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for the double-double. Camden Schurk added 14 points and Logan Mayer had 12 for the Cardinals.

Ayden Phillips had a game-high 22 points and TJ Lamb drained four 3-pointers on his way to 20 points for Almond-Bancroft.

Brody Dernbach added 12 for the Eagles.

Ty Gruna made a pair of 3-pointers to lead Rosholt with eight points.

STEVENS POINT - Tomahawk scored two goals in each period to beat the Cardinals.

Jonah Dickens scored two goals and had an assist to lead Tomahawk. Austin Lamer, Logan Seymour and Beau Stromberg each scored one goal and had two assists.

Pacelli’s goals were scored by Eli Robinson and Mason Zielinski.

Tomahawk goalie Trevor Seliskar had 22 saves and Pacelli goalie Carter Herheim had 58 saves.

Medford 12, Chequamegon/Phillips/Butternut 2

PARK FALLS - Connor Gowey had four goals and four assists, and Miles Searles had three goals and five assists for Medford in the win.

Raiders goalie Talan Albers made 16 saves.

Ashwaubenon 5, Mosinee 0

ASHWAUBENON - Anthony Steffen scored three goals for the Jaguars in the victory.

Caden Bartelme and Jackson Lampereur also scored for Ashwaubenon. Charlie Laurent had two assists.

Jaguars goalie Lincoln Simons made 11 saves, while Mosinee goalie Aiden Karst had 45 saves.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Central Wisconsin 5, Medford 0

SCHOFIELD - The Storm scored two goals in the second period and three goals in the third period in the shutout.

Michaela Gerum and Hannah Baumann each scored two goals for the Storm. Kailey Grosskreutz also scored, while Tristan Wicklund had two assists.

Storm goalie Chloe Lemke made three saves. Ilsa Brunner made 48 saves for Medford.
