Tuesday's HS roundup: Smith's four goals, two assists leads PHS girls lacrosse

PORTSMOUTH - Mia Smith had four goals and two assists, and Annie Parker had three goals and one assist as the Portsmouth High School girls lacrosse team beat Kennett, on Tuesday, 9-1 in a Division II contest.

Portsmouth improved to 12-1 with the win.

Sally Collins had three goals and Morgan Ruhnke added two goals and three assists for the Clippers.

Teammates Maggie Parker, and Avery Ruhnke both had two goals, and Charlotte Marston had a goal and two assists, Ellie Seefried had six assists, and Julia Roelofs had one.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Lake Region 13

Traip Academy 7

KITTERY, Maine - Alexis Hernandez had four goals, while Jacey Johnson, Quinn McPherson and Julia Durling all had one for Traip in this Class C South loss.

BOYS LACROSSE

NORTH CONWAY – Gabe Goodwin and Sam Guilmette both had four goals and one assist for Oyster River (7-4) in this Division II game.

Marc Parsons added three goals for the Bobcats, while Jake Failla had two goals and one assist.

Falmouth 13

Marshwood 7

SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - Kevin Cougler had three goals and one assist, and Andrew Goodwin had two goals and one assist for Class B Marshwood in this loss to Class A Falmouth.

Tommy Demeroto and Wyatt Yager both scored a goal for the Hawks, while goalie Luke Dockham had eight saves.

Gibson and Demarest won 8-3 at No. 1 doubles, Siena Schaier and Maggie Farwell won 8-6 at No. 2, and Lulu Upham and Karageorgos won 8-0 at No. 3.

KEENE - Joci Faasen (No. 1, 8-2), Tory Vitko (No. 2, 8-0), Grace Hitchcock (No. 3, 8-0), Emilia Ross (No. 4, 8-2), Riya Ramdev (No. 5, 8-2) and Kate Ross (No. 6, 8-1) all won in singles action for Dover (12-0) in this Division I contest.

Faasen and Vitko won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles, Hitchcock and Ramdev won 8-1 at No. 2, and Sarah Bastille and Mia Mizzoni won 8-1 at No. 3.

Morales and Iacobucci won 8-0 at No. 1 doubles, Rocha and Lankler won 8-0 at No. 2, and Fiona Kumph and Ferrell won 8-0 at No. 3.

Gaughan and Simard won 9-7 at No. 1 doubles, Dominic Theos and Byrnes won 8-2 at No. 2, and Robert Berthel and Oliver Beradino won 8-2 at No. 3.

DOVER - Griffin Leach (No. 1, 8-1), James Weete (No. 2, 8-0), Judah Payeur (No. 4, 8-6), Colby Bigelow (No. 5, 8-2) and Teddy Lipinski (No. 6, 8-2) all won in singles action for Dover (10-1) in this Division I match.

Leach and Sieks won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles, Weete and Bigelow won 9-8 at No. 2, and (3)

Siddhu Srivatsan and John Henry won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles, Montgomery and Josh Nichols won 8-1 at No. 2, and Leo Li and Shashu Srivatsan won 8-6 at No. 3.

Simon Grandmaison had two hits and scored two runs for the Hilltoppers. Teammates Andrew Cushing and Eric Goodrich both had a hit; Cushing also scored two runs.

MANCHESTER - Junior George Young allowed four hits and struck out eight over seven innings, taking this Division I complete-game win.

Exeter (10-4) scored single runs in the second, third and fourth innings.

Exeter's Connor Wyskiel had two hits, while Jake Wiberg, Parker Lendrum, Young and Roger Davis all had one. Wiberg, Yo0ng and Wyskiel all had an RBI.

Elizabeth Flynn, Amelia Anderson, Ashleigh von der Linden, Abbie Gaynor and Sophie Nadeau all had a hit for the Saints.

MILFORD - Morgan Veno homered, doubled, and had three RBIs for Oyster River in this rematch of last year's Division II state championship game.

Brianna McInnes also homered for the Bobcats, who sprayed 12 hits across the field.

Gracie Gagne (three hits, two runs), Maeve Hickock (hit, two RBIs), Mia Boyd (two hits, RBI, run), Zoe Boyd (hit, run), Addy Veno (hit, run) and Annabelle Svenson (double) led the Bobcats.

Addy Veno scattered seven hits and struck out seven over seven innings, earning the win.
