Highlights from Tuesday in high school spring sports:

BASEBALL

  • Freshman Erick Barron delivered a walk-off single, Tanner Beltowski struck out six in 5.2 innings and was 2 for 4 with a double, Cody Gallegos went 1 for 2 with two RBIs, and Ty Weeks earned the win in relief to lift Buena (15-6, 7-2) to a 4-3 win over Santa Barbara in a Channel League game.

  • Max Garcia allowed two earned runs while striking out four in a complete-game effort and was 2 for 4 at the plate, Ronny Estrada went 4 for 4 with a double and an RBI, Matt Mejia was 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Jacob Stringer had a hit and an RBI to lead Oxnard (9-9, 2-7) to a 4-3 win over Ventura in a Channel League game. Dash Lopez finished 3 for 3 with two runs and two stolen bases and Mark Moseley was 2 for 3 for the Cougars (8-13, 2-7).

  • Rio Mesa (9-10-1, 4-5) lost to Dos Pueblos 5-4 in a Channel League game.

  • Pacifica (7-10, 2-7) lost to San Marcos 6-5 in a Channel League game.

SOFTBALL

  • Madison Finnerty allowed five hits and a run while striking out eight in a complete-game performance in the circle and went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI at the plate, Driana Martinez was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI, Shae Anderson had a triple and a run scored, Sydney Burckhard had a double, Nathalie Hernandez went 1 for 1 with a double and an RBI, and Kate Guy and Jo Buckley each went 1 for 2 to lead unbeaten Moorpark (13-0, 4-0) to a 5-1 win over Oak Park in a Coastal Canyon League game. Savannah Mitchell was 1 for 2 with an RBI, Gabriella Avendano and Zoe Vanderbok each had a hit, and Amanda Smith allowed two earned runs in a complete-game effort for the Eagles (9-6, 1-3).

  • Yadira Montes went 2 for 4 with a home run, double and two RBIs, Emma Henderson was 3 for 3 with two RBIs, Julianne Ogle had a double and two RBIs, and Kendall Diederich had a double and pitched a complete game to lead Royal (5-5, 1-4) to a 6-3 win over Simi Valley (4-10, 1-3) in a Coastal Canyon League game.

  • KaLeena Gonzales went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Jiselle Garcia had two RBIs, and Baylany Magana allowed one run in six innings to lead Oxnard (7-4, 5-1) to a 6-1 victory over Ventura in a Channel League game. Yaya Landeros was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI for the Cougars (6-7, 3-3).

  • Jordan Gonzalez finished 3 for 4 with a double, triple and three RBIs, Janelle Jimenez went 2 for 4 with an RBI, Alyssa Jacinto and Joy Williams each had a hit and an RBI, and Destanee Perez pitched a one-hit, five-inning shutout with seven strikeouts to lead Buena (6-10, 2-6) to a 16-0 win over San Marcos in a Channel League game.

  • Jennifer Garcia pitched three shutout innings, Janessa Brown earned the win in the circle with four scoreless innings, and Grace Ramirez had a double and an RBI to lead St. Bonaventure (10-5) to a 1-0 win over Fillmore (9-4) in a nonleague game.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

  • Jack Nicks finished with 13 kills and four blocks, Nikko Songco had 11 kills, Elie Gorowitz had seven kills and six digs, and Preston Kling had eight digs for Oak Park in its 25-16, 25-17, 25-27, 25-22 loss to St. Francis in a nonleague match.

  • Royal defeated Camarillo 25-16, 25-19, 25-15 in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Oxnard (4-21, 4-8) lost to San Marcos 25-16, 25-19, 25-15 in a Channel League match.

  • Tyler Jorden had 17 assists, Sean Scampone finished with eight kills, and Owen Houston had eight digs for Foothill Tech (6-4, 4-4) in its 25-9, 27-25, 25-14 loss to Laguna Blanca in a Tri-Valley League match.

BOYS GOLF

  • Evan Molina and Trevor Barton each shot an 81 and Tyler Meister had an 83 to lead Camarillo (6-3, 4-2) to a 422-478 win over Moorpark in a Coastal Canyon League match at Las Posas Country Club. Kemper Wilson was the medalist with an 80 for the Musketeers (0-8, 0-7).

  • Sahir Balyan was the medalist with a 73 to lead Simi Valley (5-3) to a 390-412 victory over Royal in a Coastal Canyon League match at Simi Hills Golf Course.

  • Cal Harrison was the medalist with a 37 and Matt Jones and Donovan Chappell each shot a 40 to lead Ventura (3-2) to a 211-252 win over Pacifica in a Channel League match at River Ridge Golf Club's Vineyards Course. Rico Arce shot a 44 for the Tritons (2-6).

  • Adam Anderson was the medalist with a 4-under 66 and Evan Kuske had a personal-best 82 for Buena (7-3) in its 376-436 loss to Santa Barbara in a Channel League match at Santa Barbara Golf Club.

  • Ryan Arnold earned medalist honors with a 74 and Cooper Greenwood shot a 78 to lead Agoura to a 400-417 victory over Calabasas in a Marmonte League match at Calabasas Country Club.

BOYS LACROSSE

  • Oak Park defeated Royal 16-9.

GIRLS LACROSSE

  • Royal defeated Simi Valley 22-14.

BOYS TENNIS

  • Royal (11-4) defeated Camarillo in games, 76-68, after the teams played to a 9-9 tie in sets.
