Tuesday's Top Prep Performers from baseball, softball, volleyball, tennis and lacrosse

Highlights from Tuesday in high school spring sports:

BASEBALL

  • Landon Gaz hit a three-run home run as part of a seven-run third inning, Nash Sanders was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Jacob Shannon-Wilkerson and Taylor Busch each went 2 for 3, Rylan Stillwagon went 1 for 2 with a triple and two RBIs, and Roman Muñoz, Carson Cerny and Stillwagon combined on a seven-hit shutout to lead Moorpark (3-2) to a 9-0 victory over Ventura in a Easton SoCal Showdown game. Dash Lopez went 2 for 3 and Jason Romero was 1 for 1 with a double for the Cougars.

  • Jacob Tostado allowed three hits and a run in four innings and went 1 for 3 with an RBI at the plate, Boston Bateman hit a home run, and Brandon Contreras and Troy Arenzana each went 1 for 3 with an RBI to lead Camarillo (3-2) to a 5-1 win over La Canada in a Easton SoCal Showdown game.

  • Hector Piña went 2 for 3 with a double, three RBIs and two stolen bases, Matthew Cuccias and Ethan Pena had doubles, Landen Adair, Jacob Campbell and Ethan Walgren each had a hit, Benjamin Schweit struck out four and allowed two runs in four innings, Gabe Bond pitched two scoreless innings, and Raul Centeno pitched a scoreless inning to lead Simi Valley to an 8-3 win over Santa Barbara in a Easton SoCal Showdown game.

  • Nolan Johnson had a home run and two RBIs, Dillon Marrisett was 2 for 3 with a double, Nate Franco and Nate Johnson each went 1 for 3 with an RBI, Jesse Beer was 1 for 2, Josh Doyle allowed three runs in six innings to earn the win, and Kaden Youmans picked up the save to lead Westlake to a 4-3 win over Dos Pueblos in a Easton SoCal Showdown game.

  • Peter Lynch allowed three runs in 5.1 innings, Lee Atkinson pitched 1.2 scoreless innings of relief, Nathan Zimmer was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI, Chris Cotton went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, and Tyler Shulman had a double and an RBI to lead Calabasas to an 8-3 win over Oaks Christian in a Easton SoCal Showdown game. Finley Buckner was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI and Elijah Clayton went 1 for 3 for the Lions (3-2).

  • Joshua Chavez delivered a bases-loaded walk-off single as Santa Paula scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to beat Buena 4-3 in a Easton SoCal Showdown game. Tyler Antwine went 2 for 3 with a double and Ruben Venegas pitched three scoreless innings to earn the win for the Cardinals (2-4). Gavin Morales was 2 for 3 with a home run, Tanner Beltowski went 2 for 4 with a homer, and Camden Walker finished 2 for 4 for the Bulldogs (2-3).

  • Nate Slaton threw six shutout innings and had an RBI single and Jacob Young had an RBI double to lead Grace Brethren (2-2) to a 2-1 win over Sun Valley-Poly in a Easton SoCal Showdown game.

  • Steven Gormley struck out six in five innings, Cole Howard went 2 for 4, Micah Rodriguez was 1 for 2 with an RBI, and Eli Steinhaus finished 1 for 2 for Thousand Oaks (2-2) in its 2-1 loss to Valencia in a Easton SoCal Showdown game.

  • Gavin Trafficanda allowed two earned runs in five innings and Michael Moran, Will Michelman and Luka Bladow each had hits for Agoura in its 7-1 loss to St. Francis in a Easton SoCal Showdown game.

  • James Guyette allowed one run while striking out five in five innings, Nathaniel Nunez was 1 for 3 with an RBI, and Evan Needham went 1 for 2 for Newbury Park in its 2-1 loss to Cleveland in a Easton SoCal Showdown game.

  • Rio Mesa lost to Sierra Canyon 7-2 in a Easton SoCal Showdown game.

  • Jathan Magana went 3 for 4 with two runs scored and Jarod Uridel was 2 for 3 with three RBIs to lift Fillmore (3-1) to a 5-4 win over Foothill Tech.

SOFTBALL

  • Liliana Arana struck out 14 of the 15 batters she faced in a five-inning perfect game and was 2 for 3 with two RBIs at the plate, Mia Cardenas went 3 for 3 with four RBIs, Aliana Espinoza was 3 for 4 with four RBIs, Angie Aguilera was 2 for 5 with a triple and two RBIs, Natalie Segura finished 3 for 3 with two RBIs, Hailey Pettus went 3 for 3 with three RBIs, and KaiLea Reyes was 1 for 3 with an RBI to lead Santa Paula (4-0, 3-0) to a 19-0 win over Carpinteria in a Citrus Coast League game. Reyes threw a five-inning perfect game for the Cardinals on Feb. 16.

  • Savannah Mitchell hit a walk-off two-run homer with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning, Cameron McGugan was 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Amanda Smith allowed one run in eight innings to lift Oak Park (3-0) to a 3-1 win over Newbury Park.

  • Jacaranda Shepard went 2 for 4 with a double, triple and five RBIs and Maggie Caputo, Mikyla DeAlba and Jade Aguilar each had three hits to lead Nordhoff (3-4, 2-1) to an 11-1 win over Malibu in a Citrus Coast League game.

  • Morgan Casillas went 3 for 4 with two RBIs, Kylie Kolkowski was 3 for 3 with two RBIs, Rebecca Toporoff was 2 for 3 with a double, Ella Neale went 1 for 2 with two RBIs, Crystal Keller finished 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI, and Claire Kirby had a double and an RBI to lead Thousand Oaks to a 12-1 win over Simi Valley.

  • Fillmore defeated Hueneme 11-0 in a Citrus Coast League game.

  • Amaya Del Olmo had a home run and three RBIs, Mia Gomez was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, Sam Tagawa went 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Rylee Redmond finished 3 for 4 for Agoura in its 12-7 loss to Louisville.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

  • Nikko Songco had nine kills, Jack Rosenfeld finished with 25 assists and Jack Nicks had three blocks for Oak Park in its 25-19, 25-23, 26-24 loss to Dos Pueblos in a season opener.

  • Jonny Garcia had six kills and Narith Prak finished with two kills, 14 assists and four digs for Oxnard in its 26-24, 25-13, 25-18 loss to Valencia in a season opener.

  • St. Bonaventure opened its season with a 25-22, 18-25, 25-20, 25-18 win over Cate in a Tri-Valley League match.

BOYS TENNIS

  • Calabasas defeated Newbury Park 11-7. For the Panthers, Karthik Tholudur and Jason Kiang swept their doubles sets and George Morris and Dhruv Patel won two of three doubles sets.

  • Royal defeated Thousand Oaks 14-4.

BOYS LACROSSE

  • Oak Park earned a 10-9 win over Dos Pueblos.

GIRLS LACROSSE

  • Royal defeated Cate 18-5 to improve to 3-0 on the season.
