Tuesday's Top Prep Performers: Local teams clinch league championships

Highlights from Tuesday in high school sports:

GIRLS SOCCER

  • Avery Oder finished with two goals and an assist, Sarah Spears and Kailey Supa each had a goal and an assist, Savanna Daniels and Makira Churchill scored goals, and Isa Wieder, Berkley Mape and Jonnie-Jane Quiroz had assists as Oaks Christian (16-2-1, 9-0-0) defeated Calabasas 6-0 to clinch the Marmonte League championship. The Lions, who have outscored Marmonte opposition 39-1, can complete their first perfect league season by beating Westlake on Thursday.

  • Westlake (12-1-3, 6-1-2) and Newbury Park played to a 0-0 draw in a Marmonte League match. Jamie Campbell had a strong game in net for the Panthers (7-9-1, 2-6-1).

  • Shelby Love scored both goals in the final six minutes off assists from Sam Forde and Ivy Williams to lead Thousand Oaks (3-11-3, 1-5-3) to a 2-0 win over Agoura (8-6-2, 3-5-1) in a Marmonte League match.

  • Athena Sanchez netted a hat trick, Fatima Alvarado scored a goal, and Marlene Gonzalez had an assist to lead Fillmore (10-6-0, 8-3-0) to a 4-1 win over Carpinteria in a Citrus Coast League match.

  • Nelly Pulido scored the winning goal with three minutes left in regulation and Janessah Gonzalez, Alondra Sanchez and Erika Flores had goals to lead Santa Clara (11-1-2, 7-1-2) to a 4-3 win over Thacher in a Tri-Valley League match.

  • Lily Shadden and Claire Meehan scored goals to lead Foothill Tech (7-2-3, 6-0-3) to a 2-0 victory over St. Bonaventure in a Tri-Valley League match.

  • Lucy Shah, Natalia Estrada, Grace Courtland and Maggie Kearin scored goals to lead La Reina (7-3-1, 7-1-1) to a 4-0 victory over Villanova Prep in a Frontier League match.

BOYS SOCCER

  • Bohdie Ing netted a hat trick with assists from Ryan Thorndike to lead Newbury Park (6-4-3, 4-3-2) to a 3-2 victory over Westlake in a Marmonte League match. Troy Mishkanian and Jaden De La Cruz scored goals and Jaden Nachimzon and Jonathan Juarez-Flores had assists for the Warriors (11-7-5, 4-2-2). Five teams are within two points in the race for the league title.

  • Uziel Diaz, Jack Steinberg and Kevin Parker scored goals to lead Thousand Oaks (10-8-2, 4-5-0) to a 3-0 win over Agoura (7-5-3, 4-2-2) in a Marmonte League match.

  • Ian Boras, Jonah Zirretta and Aidan Davis scored goals and Matthew Kim and Benett Hathaway had assists to lead Oaks Christian (5-9-3, 4-4-1) to a 3-1 win over Calabasas (4-10-3, 2-6-1) in a Marmonte League match.

  • Matheus Gamble converted two penalty kicks and finished with five goals, Powell Saucedo had a goal and an assist, and Pedro Medrano had an assist as Tri-Valley League champion Foothill Tech defeated Bishop Diego 6-3 to finish league play at 7-1-0.

  • Jake Barrett had two goals and an assist, Jeremy Larson had a goal and an assist, Tyler Larson scored a goal, and Ryan Spelts and Cole Ikenouye had assists to lead Grace Brethren (7-2-1, 6-0-1) to a 4-1 win over Villanova Prep in a Frontier League match.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

  • Skyler Knight hit a program-record eight 3-pointers and finished with 34 points, Kailee Staniland had nine points and eight assists, Emily Rea contributed nine points and three assists, and Jessie Sebek added seven points and eight rebounds as Ventura (19-8, 10-3) earned a 63-57 win over Oxnard (18-8, 9-4) to take sole possession of first place in the Channel League. The Cougars can clinch the outright league championship with a win at Dos Pueblos on Thursday.

  • Freshman Karisma Lewis poured in 29 points and grabbed five rebounds, Riannah Lopez had nine points and four steals, and Skye Thomas added eight points and eight rebounds to lead Buena (14-9, 9-4) to a 50-41 win over Dos Pueblos in a Channel League game.

  • Mikayla Oliver had 19 points, eight rebounds and two steals and Mimi Moon finished with 18 points, seven rebounds, three steals and three assists for Pacifica (16-8, 8-4) in its 53-47 loss to San Marcos in a Channel League game.

  • After going 1-20 overall and 0-8 in league last season, Oak Park clinched the outright Coastal Canyon League championship with a 54-52 victory over visiting Camarillo. The Eagles (13-11, 7-0), under first-year head coach Will Burr, ended Camarillo's streak of league championships at 11 with their second win over the Scorpions this season — the first one, 56-47 on Jan. 13, snapped the Scorpions' 58-game league winning streak. Christa Contreras scored 18 points, Keilani Peralta hit four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points, and Makenna Phelan had seven points for Camarillo (14-11, 5-2).

  • Senior Faith Madsen scored 17 points and senior Kaitlyn Padilla had nine points to lead Simi Valley (11-14, 3-4) to a 56-21 win over Royal (2-19, 0-8) in a Coastal Canyon League game.

  • Lola Donez scored 22 points, Omamoke Okah finished with 18 points, and Faith O’Daniel and Jordan Schwesinger each had 11 points as Oaks Christian (18-5, 9-0) earned a 70-59 win over Calabasas (20-6, 7-2) to clinch the outright Marmonte League championship.

  • Freshman Mathis Dritz scored a career-high 36 points to lead Westlake (19-8, 7-2) to a 75-28 win over Newbury Park (7-20, 1-8) in a Marmonte League game.

  • Helena Koubek finished with 19 points, eight rebounds and two steals, Riley Mann had 14 points, seven steals and five rebounds, and Jamilyn Carton had 14 points, four steals and three assists to lead Agoura (13-12, 4-5) to a 62-54 win over Thousand Oaks in a Marmonte League game. Soleil Nerdin finished with 16 points and 15 rebounds and Claire Kirby had 11 points for the Lancers (12-15, 0-9).

  • Sophia Navarro scored 23 points, Jessica Perez had 10 points, and Isabella Cerda added seven points to lead Channel Islands (9-9, 7-5) to a 44-19 win over Fillmore in a Citrus Coast League game. Analise Luna had six points, seven rebounds and four steals and Marissa Lugo had five points, three steals and two rebounds for the Flashes (4-15, 2-9).

  • Mya Smith scored 10 points, Kenedi Bikovsky had eight points and seven rebounds, Haya Abdallah scored eight points, and Avanthika Ramasamy had five points and three rebounds for Moorpark in its 62-40 loss Shalhevet to in a nonleague game.

  • Rachel Patrykus had 11 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks, Savvy Simmonds had six points and four steals, and Addy Crawford finished with five points and 15 rebounds for Villanova Prep (5-7, 2-4) in its 37-30 loss to Thacher in a Frontier League game.

BOYS BASKETBALL

  • Seshsha Henderson had 17 points and three steals, Isaiah Sherrard finished with 10 points, 18 rebounds and four blocks, Trey McDonald had seven points and three assists, and Niko Limberopoulos had six points, five assists and three blocks as Oak Park (17-9, 7-0) defeated Camarillo 48-44 to clinch at least a share Coastal Canyon League championship. The Eagles can secure the outright league title by beating Simi Valley on the road Thursday. Chase Aronowitz scored 15 points and Marcos Jaquez and Josh Castaniero each had nine points for the Scorpions (15-12, 3-4).

  • Caleb Peters had 19 points and 10 rebounds, Sami Barakat scored 13 points, and Ryder Mjoen had 10 points to lead Simi Valley (18-8, 6-1) to a 60-49 win over Royal in a Coastal Canyon League game. Drew Romano scored 20 points and Ace Arnold had eight points for the Highlanders (8-20, 1-7).

  • Austin Maziasz finished with 25 points and 13 rebounds, Kayden Elsokary had 13 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, Dante Deshautelle scored 10 points, Braylon Butout had nine points, Danny Bao contributed eight points and seven rebounds, and Cyrus Torabian had eight points and five rebounds to lead Westlake (16-11, 4-5) to a 77-52 victory over Newbury Park in a Marmonte League game. Cooper Lucas scored 14 points, Johnny Kostenuik had 10 points, and Jace Birdsong and Brady Smigel each added eight points for the Panthers (14-13, 0-9).

  • Stevie Amar scored 19 points, Stevie Prudholme and Isayah Garcia each had 11 points, and Nick Giarrussso added nine points to lead Oaks Christian (19-8, 4-5) to a 65-50 win over Calabasas in a Marmonte League game. Gavin Murphy had 13 points, Tidiane Sy and Liron Meoded each finished with 12 points, and Harrison Henderson had nine points for the Coyotes (17-10, 5-4).

  • Nathan Perez and Jose Valdovinos each scored 14 points and Jeremiah DeSantiago had 12 points to lead Santa Paula (9-8, 8-3) to a 66-33 win over Hueneme in a Citrus Coast League game. Jake Yson scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers, and Christopher Juanillo had 10 points for the Vikings.

  • Franky Tzintzun scored 17 points, Da'shaye Williams finished with 14 points, seven rebounds and four steals, Marc Ortiz had 14 points and five rebounds, and Shaun Holmes added four assists to lead Channel Islands (9-17, 6-6) to a 63-53 victory over Malibu in a Citrus Coast League game.

  • Nate Delgadillo finished with 24 points and 14 rebounds, Jack Morris had 18 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and three steals, Isaac Weslow had 11 points and four rebounds, and Johnny Cardenas had six points to lead Fillmore (11-11, 7-4) to a 71-38 victory over Carpinteria in a Citrus Coast League game.

  • Sam Noah scored 16 points to lead Foothill Tech (11-14, 3-3) to a 52-43 win over Laguna Blanca in a Frontier League game.

  • Will Friel scored 20 points, Tyler Pickett had 19 points, and Mason Stueber finished with 16 points to lead league champion Hillcrest Christian-Thousand Oaks (19-5, 11-0) to a 72-52 win over Westmark in an Omega League game.

  • Lucas Fenske scored 18 points, Joe Booth had 13 points and four rebounds, and Kaden Watson finished with 10 points and six rebounds to lead Moorpark to a 59-43 win over Shalhevet in a nonleague game.

GIRLS WATER POLO

  • Ventura defeated Buena 18-5 in a Channel League game. Jackie Starr finished with three goals and three steals, Devin Varela had a goal and two steals, Mikayla Salas had a goal and a steal, Addison Bruno had four steals, Gabrielle Swaim had two steals, Kathryn Salazar had five blocks, and Carly Matheson had two blocks for the Bulldogs (13-13, 2-5).

  • Taylor Credle scored eight goals and Victoria Ioannou and Elana Minoofar each had five goals to lead Calabasas to a 23-4 win over Kennedy.
