Aug. 22—SHANNON — Hanes Industries of Conover, North Carolina has acquired Tullos Supply Company for an undisclosed sum.

Tullos, founded in 1997, is a converter and distributor of construction fabrics and other supply items for the furniture and bedding industries. Tullos was founded by Jimmy Tullos, who will remain with the company along with his son, Isaac.

Jerry Greene, President of Hanes Companies, said that Tullos fits into its strategy of developing new engineered composites in several industries, and that it "has a strong market reputation for value added converting as well as sonic bonding capabilities."

Said Jimmy Tullos, "We are proud to have joined forces with Hanes. Tullos has built our business delivering value to our customer base by providing quality products at reasonable prices and we see the same in Hanes. We feel this is a natural fit."
