Tuloso-Midway's Cedillo voted Caller-Times High School Athlete of the Week

Tuloso-Midway's Danilee Cedillo was on fire last week from 3-point range and was voted the Caller-Times High School Athlete of the Week for Jan. 10-15.

Cedillo scored 41 points in two games for the Cherokees. Cedillo scored 21 points including three triples against Zapata and added 20 points with six 3-pointers against Robstown.

Lopez received 12,769 of the 35,490 votes cast, which was 36% of all votes.

Students can only be named Athlete of the Week one time per season, per sport.

Mathis girls basketball player Aliya Montemayor was second with 10,506 votes.

Nominations are due each Monday by 5 p.m. and can be submitted through email at ctsports@caller.com, by messaging the Caller-Times through its Facebook page, or on Twitter @CallerSports.
