Tulpehocken Township church to hold car show [Religion Digest]

Jun. 10----Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, 31 Rehrersburg Road, Tulpehocken Township, will hold a car, truck tractor and motorcycle show next Saturday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. There also will be food, a flea market, used tools for sale and a children's pedal pull at 10 a.m.

—Rosedale Camp Grove, 1616 Vine St., Laureldale, has scheduled the following events: today, breakfast, 7-11 a.m.; Sunday, meet and greet ice cream social, 6:30 p.m., free-will offering; next Saturday, breakfast, 7-11 a.m.; June 18, Father's Day dinner, 5 p.m., and movie, "Left Behind." Cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children.

—Kissinger's Church, 715 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing, will host a Five-Day Club on June 26-30 from 10-11:15 a.m. The Five-Day Club is a program offered by the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Reading and Berks County. The program includes a Bible lesson, missionary story, mission emphasis, memory verse, songs and puppets. The program is primarily for ages 5-12, but all ages are welcome. —Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Douglass Township, Montgomery County, will hold coffee and conversation at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday in the Welcome Center.

—The United Church of Christ of Robesonia's Walking Group will meet at the church, 301 W. Penn Ave., today at 9 to go to a walking path at Wernersville State Hospital. The Men's Group will meet today at 8:30 a.m.

—St. John's Gernant's Church (A Federated Congreagation), will feature guest vocalist Tina Blatt performing a duet with the Rev. Fran Merkel, pastor, entitled "Hold Thou My Hand," at the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday in the Memorial Hall, 12 Gernant's Church Road, Ontelaunee Township, which is handicap accessible. Bible study will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m.

—Trinity Lutheran Church, 130 S. Walnut St., Wernersville, is holding a strawberry festival today from 3:30 -7:30 p.m. at the Hill Road parking lot. There will be wood-smoked pulled pork, nachos, pit baked beans, strawberry shortcake and more food items along with games, raffles, jewelry and plants. Rain or shine. Proceeds benefit the Community Response Fund.

—The Rev. Kevin McLemore, associate conference minister for search and call of the Pennsylvania Southeast Conference, will preach during the 9:30 a.m. worship service Sunday at Trinity United Church of Christ, 2449 Cumberland Ave., Mount Penn. He will also lead an informational meeting following worship concerning the search process for a new pastor.

—Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, 250 Church Lane Road, Exeter Township, will hold a time of fellowship and refreshments in the narthex following the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday.

—St. John's Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown, will have a free drive-through, take-out meal today from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. No registration necessary.

—Holly Wolfe, director of marketing for Opportunity House, will talk about its many facets during the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Reformation Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Ave., Exeter Township.

—Bonnie Levan will be the guest pianist for the 10:15 a.m. service on Sunday at Friedens United Church of Christ, 337 Main St., Oley. Vacation Bible school leaders will be blessed during the service.

—Linda Wilson will sing "I Will Carry You" at the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Zion's Spies Evangelical Reformed Church, 318 Spies Church Road, Alsace Township.

—St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 5 W. Arch St., Fleetwood, will recognize graduates at its worship services on Sunday at 9 a.md 10:30 a.m., with "My Refuge" as special music. Coffee hour will be held in the social room after the 9 a.m. service.

—Trinity Lutheran Church, 1749 S. Main St., Bechtelsville, will hold community day next Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be bingo from noon-1:30, a pet blessing at 1:30, free food and beverages and children's carnival games.

—Jerry Kennedy will present "A Bittersweet Deal: the Diabetes Industry" in the first-floor parlor at Christ Episcopal Church, 435 Court St., Reading, on Sunday at 9 a.m. Fr. Jim Rhinehart will be guest preacher at the 8 and 10 a.m. worship services. At 4, Christ Church will host "Sounds of America" by the chamber choir Opus One. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for students. Parking is available at the Abe Lincoln Hotel parking garage and the M&T Bank lot, both off of Washington Street. Handicap spaces are located beside the church on Court Street.

In order to have an event listed in the religion digest, it must be something that is not just a regular worship service.
