Tune in for some tunes at Pickin' in the Park

Jul. 27—CANTON — Pickin' in the Park is back again this upcoming week for another round of traditional summer fun in Canton.

The free concerts happen 6 — 9 p.m. each Friday of the summer at Recreation Park, 77 Penland St. in Canton. The event features local bands and dancers as they welcome event goers to dance the night away.

On July 22, Rick Morris band was featured with the Appalachian Mountaineer dancers. The dancers got into full swing, entertaining the packed crowd. Many were tapping their feet, clapping and enjoying the music. Some of the crowd even got up on the stage to dance as well.

Grab a friend — and a lawn chair — and tune into some local music in the park in Canton every Friday from now until Sept. 2. Don't forget the sunscreen, either.
