Turbulent weather may affect outdoor events in Bucks County this weekend. What to know

Bucks County residents with outdoor activities in mind for this weekend may need to reshuffle those plans, as the National Weather Service in Mount Holly forecasts a wet end to the work week, followed by a turbulent weekend.

What to know about the weather forecasts and which events may be impacted.

Rain to last through rest of week, linger into Saturday

Paul Fitzsimmons, lead meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, said a storm will hit the region in force on Friday.

"We are looking at a coastal storm that will impact the area later tonight, and will last through tomorrow and tomorrow night," Fitzsimmons said Thursday. "We are expecting a fair amount of rainfall with that.

"Bucks County will probably be in the edge of that system, and right now, we ar thinking Bucks County gets one to two inches of rain," Fitzsimmons added. "There could be some changes, but we expect the heaviest amount of rainfall may be further to the east, but that could change and it could come back west."
