"I thank Turkey for its willingness to take under its patronage the restoration of Kharkiv City and Kharkiv Oblast,” said the Ukrainian leader.

“This is a mission for a truly powerful country. Today, the first step was taken — an agreement on infrastructure was signed.”

Kharkiv and the oblast are systematically bombarded by Russian troops. The enemy is targeting residential buildings and city infrastructure. Most often, rockets are fired at the city from the Russian city of Belgorod just across the border.

The Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov, and the Minister of Trade of Turkey, Mehmet Muş, signed a memorandum in Lviv on Aug. 18 on the participation of Ankara in the post-war reconstruction of Ukrainian infrastructure.
