Turkeys Arrive at DC Hotel Ahead of White House Pardoning Ceremony

Two turkeys from a farm in Walcott, Iowa, arrived for their stay at a hotel in Washington on November 22 ahead of a ceremony at which US President Donald Trump will pardon the turkeys for Thanksgiving.

This footage, shared by The White House, shows the turkeys at the Willard Hotel where they will stay before visiting the White House on November 24.

Ron Kardel, the farmer who raised the turkeys, told Iowa newspaper The Gazette the birds had been “pampered” since they hatched in early July.

“We built a 10-by-24-foot building with ventilation, heating, air conditioning and a little patio outside,” Kardel said.
