Turkey's Erdogan says Macron has 'lost his way'

The comments come in the wake of the French leader's criticism of Islamists; on Saturday Erdogan said Macron had a problem with Muslims and needed mental checks.

That rebuke prompted France to recalls its ambassador from Ankara.

Macron this month declared war on "Islamist separatism" which he believes is taking over some Muslim communities in France.

His country has been shaken since the beheading of a teacher by an Islamist radical.
