The Tampa Bay Lightning's drive for three in a row seems to be in full swing.

The Lightning grabbed a commanding 2-0 lead in their NHL Stanley Cup Playoff series over the Florida Panthers, winning Game 2 2-1 in Sunrise. Ross Colton scored the game-winner with just 3.8 seconds left, knocking in a one-timer off Nikita Kucherov's pass from behind the net.

Sunday's Game 3 is set for 1:30 p.m. at Amalie Arena in Tampa.

Tampa Bay, which won the Stanley Cup in 2020 and 2021, is now aiming to be the first to win the trophy for three straight seasons since the New York Islanders won four straight between 1980-83. The duo who combined on the game-winning goal have been the offensive leaders so far – Colton with five goals, Kucherov with eight assists.

Game 2: Florida Panthers in 0-2 hole after 2-1 loss to Tampa Bay Lightning

Florida is hoping to avoid falling into too big a hole, and a win Sunday is critical. The Panthers have been completely silent on the power play so far in the postseason, going 0-for-25 in their two playoff series so far. Sergei Bobrovsky was solid in goal for Florida in Game 2, with 26 saves, but once again the Panthers are having trouble getting anything past Andrei Vasilevskiy, with only Eetu Luostarinen scoring on a slap shot in the second giving the team any offense.
