Turnout smaller so far for early voting in Maryland, data shows

Tuesday marked the second day of early voting in Maryland, but data shows significantly fewer voters are turning out so far than they did in the last gubernatorial primary election. Wilde Lake High School in Columbia, one of five early voting locations in Howard County, saw a trickle of foot traffic. Elections officials across the Baltimore metro area described turnout so far as exceptionally low, but they point out that's as expected.
