Turns out you’ve been using face wipes wrong this whole time

Not a fan of face wipes? It might have something to do with the way you’re using them.

Face wipes seem good in theory. A water-free way to wash your face on the go, perfect for travelling, freshening up during a music festival, or post-gym. But for many, face wipes can lead to irritation or even cause breakouts.

But according to Beverly Hills-based dermatologist, Debra Luftman, it may be the method more than the wipe that’s to blame for it causing skin issues.

“It’s important to use your wipe from the forehead down to the jaw, so that you don’t end up redistributing oil and bacteria around your face and causing breakouts,” Dr. Luftman tells InStyle.
