Chuck's Fish annual free Thanksgiving feast: 11 a.m.-3 p.m., 508 Greensboro Ave., first-come, first served. No charge for anyone, but buckets will be available for those wishing to donate to Habitat for Humanity. Platters of turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, and a roll can also be taken to go.

Holidays on the Plaza: Portable ice-skating rink and 200-decorated-tree Tinsel Train at five-acre Government Plaza, through Jan. 16. Private parties and other holiday-related events will be included during some weeks. Admission to walk the Tinsel Trail is free, but skate passes are required to use the rink. Daily passes, including skate rental, are $15. A season pass is $85. Tuesdays will be Family Skate Day, when the pass goes down to $12 each. Retired and active duty military pay $12. Annual Shelton State Tree Lighting and Singalong: 1 p.m., free, Shelton State Community College, Martin campus. Shelton Singers will perform sacred and secular holiday songs, and lead a singalong. The college will also kick off its Here Comes Santa Claus annual giving campaign, led by Shelton State Ambassadors, for students, faculty, staff, and community members to assist those in need.
