Tuslaw's Malena Cybak, Manchester's Josiah Cox named PAC-7 track and field's top atheletes
Tuslaw's Malena Cybak and Manchester's Josiah Cox were named the PAC-7 girls and boys track and field athletes of the year.
Cybak won PAC-7 championships in the 800 and 1,600 this season. She finished fourth in the 800 at the Division II state meet in a Stark County-record 2:09.55.
Cox won Division II state titles in the discus and shot put. His winning throws of 176 feet, 11 inches in the discus and 60-1 1/2 inches in the shot put were personal bests. He became Manchester's first boys state champion.
Fairless' Ben Russell was voted the PAC-7's boys coach of the year. He led the Falcons to an undefeated dual meet season and a second straight team title at the league meet.
