Apr. 28—A TV special about a 2016 Ruch-area killing will air at 9 p.m. Friday on Dateline NBC.

The show will explore the story of Aisling Tucker Moore-Reed, who pleaded guilty manslaughter last year for shooting her maternal uncle Shane Moore the afternoon of July 26, 2016.

The Ashland High School and University of Southern California graduate blogged, wrote several books and briefly reported for the Grants Pass Daily Courier under the name Tucker Reed. In 2018, she also acted under the stage name Wynn Reed in the locally produced horror film "From the Dark."

The "Killer Role" Dateline episode begins from the filmmakers' perspective, according to a synopsis provided by NBC.

"Wyn Reed is an Oregon actress cast as a killer in 'From the Dark,' a small-budget horror film," the synopsis states. "When filming wraps, a real-life plot twist reveals Wyn's real name is Tucker — and she has been charged with killing her uncle."

The program will feature interviews with homicide detectives Gabe Burchfiel with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office and Tony Young with Medford police.

A six-part Dateline NBC "Killer Role" podcast about the case was listed as No. 9 on the Apple Podcasts charts. Five of the series' six episodes have been released.
