“Better Call Saul,” 9-10:17 p.m., AMC, rerunning at 11:17. Only two episodes remain in this great prequel. Last week, we finally re-met the “Breaking Bad” guys, Walter and Jesse. They redid the scene when they first met Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) — also known as Gene and, later, as Saul — the shifty lawyer for their emerging drug business. Now he’s ready to work with them. Tonight, AMC says, a discovery will raise the stakes.
“Darby and Joan,” any time, acorn.tv. Joan (Greta Scacchi) has guy trouble. One guy (her husband) said he was in Spain, then died in Australia. Another almost collided with her on a narrow road. That’s Darby (Bryan Brown); soon, these strangers are on an Australian road trip, solving small mysteries while chasing a big one. The first two hours (available today) are so-so, with convenient confessions; things get better and the people hold our interest.
“Roswell, New Mexico,” 8 p.m., CW. As a brainy scientist (and an Earthling), Liz is usually rooted in reality. But now a fever dream has her battling to save her life and Max’s life. That’s followed by “In the Dark,” with Darnell finding that what was mere paranoia is now becoming realistic.
“Bob (Hearts) Abishola,” 8:30 p.m., CBS. Here’s one of the episodes that manage to put all the characters into one hectic scene. Fresh from their honeymoon, Abishola has redecorated Bob’s house to fit her tastes. At a gathering, guests are quick to offer their assessments.
“Spy” (2015) and “Ghostbusters” (2016), 5:30 and 8 p.m., Freeform. Skillfully directed by Paul Feig (who wrote “Spy” and co-wrote “Ghostbusters”), these are action comedies. Melissa McCarthy stars in “Spy” and is in a great ghostbusting group, alongside Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
