The New York design world is always busy. Keeping up to date on all the news can be tough, which is why we're here to give you the news roundup for New York, a one-stop shop for everything you need to know.

TWA Hotel Opens at JFK Airport

Designed by Eero Saarinen and opened in 1962, the modernist building that holds the new TWA Hotel at John F. Kennedy Airport was originally the hub for the then-international terminal. Today, the just-unveiled hospitality space offers a look back at midcentury styles mixed with bold, modern colorways. The overhaul comes courtesy of developers MCR, architects Beyer Blinder Belle, and Stonehill Taylor's interiors work. Lubrano Ciavarra Architects also worked as consulting architects on the project, and INC Architecture & Design created many of the public spaces.

The building, developed by Ceruzzi Properties, stands at 21 stories tall and within walking distance to cultural hubs like the 92nd Street Y, The Met, the Guggenheim, and Central Park. A/D/O by MINI Hosts Event for "Urban Imprint"

Last night, Greenpoint's creative space, A/D/O by MINI, hosted a party to celebrate the unveiling of its latest exhibit, "Urban Imprint." Nassia Inglessis of Studio INI created an immersive platform of pads, pulley systems, and wires that are meant to reflect one's own immersion into a city. When visitors step onto the floor of the work, the pressure exerted forces the pulleys to raise the ceilings up around them, allowing them to stand up straight while moving through the space. At the party, guests enjoyed cocktails and a set by a local DJ.
