Former Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett was arrested Sunday morning in Texas on charges of public intoxication.

Bennett, who was in Texas training for the NFL draft, was allegedly banging on doors in a Dallas neighborhood around 6:10 a.m.

When police responded, they reportedly determined he was intoxicated and took him into custody. He was charged with public intoxication and booked into the City Detention Center.

By late Sunday morning, a video purportedly showing Bennett being tackled to the ground by officers during the arrest began circulating on Twitter.

Does video on Twitter show Stetson Bennett’s arrest?

The video making the rounds on Twitter is of a quarterback’s arrest, but not Stetson Bennett. It’s dash cam footage of former Oklahoma and now Los Angeles Rams quarterback Baker Mayfield’s 2017 arrest in Arkansas.

According to the Penal Code of Texas, a person commits an offense if the person appears in a public place while intoxicated to the degree that the person may endanger the person or another.

How old is Stetson Bennett?

UGA’s former QB1 was born October 28, 1997, in Blackshear, Georgia. He is 25 years old.
