'Twenty-Five Twenty-One' star Nam Joo-hyuk to enlist in military in December

South Korean actor Nam Joo-hyuk will enlist in the military this December.
On Monday, Nam’s agency, Management SOOP, shared that the “Start-Up” star is set to enlist by the end of 2022, although a specific date has yet to be determined.
“Although he does have to [enlist] in December, the exact date has not been fixed because he has yet to be issued a draft notice,” Management SOOP said, according to Soompi.
Currently, all able-bodied South Korean men must enlist for two years of military service by the age of 28. Nam, who was born in 1994, turns 29 on Feb. 22, 2023.

Before his enlistment, the “Start-Up” star reportedly needs to wrap up his current projects, including his Disney Plus series “Vigilante,” which will be released next year. He will reportedly complete filming “Vigilante” by the middle of next month.
"Nam will wrap up his filming schedules and enlist for active duty in December," his agency stated.
The 28-year-old actor captured hearts earlier this year for his onscreen performance as Baek Yi-jin in tvN’s “Twenty-Five Twenty-One.” Prior to that, he appeared in hit TV shows such as “Start-Up” and “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo.” His latest film, “Remember,” will be released later this month.

On Monday, BTS' agency also announced that every member of the K-pop boy group will serve their mandatory military duties, with member Jin slated to enlist first.
