Twenty One Pilots, the Grammy-winning duo from Columbus, will fly up Interstate 71 for a concert next summer in Cleveland.

The group has announced plans for a 23-city tour with a stop Aug. 30 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Ticketmaster.com.

For Northeast Ohio residents who don't mind a little drive, there also will be shows in Detroit (Aug. 20), Cincinnati (Aug. 21) and Pittsburgh (Aug. 31). Produced by Live Nation, “The Icy Tour 2022” will begin Aug. 18 in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Twenty One Pilots, featuring Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, is best known for the songs “Stressed Out,” “Heathens” and “Ride.” Their new album, “Scaled and Icy,” which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's rock and alternative charts in May, features the alternative radio hits “Saturday,” and “Shy Away.”

According to the group's label, Elektra, the album was a long-distance collaboration during the COVID-19 pandemic. Joseph wrote and produced the songs in isolation over the past year while Dun engineered the drums from across the country. According to Elektra, Twenty One Pilots reached a new level of introspection on “Scaled and Icy,” processing feelings of anxiety, loneliness, boredom and doubt.
