Twenty under 40! Meet Stark County's top young professionals

CANTON – Stark County is honoring another group of young leaders who are making a difference in the community.

The Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce's ystark! and the Canton Repository announced the 2023 class of Twenty under 40! on Friday.

"These individuals are the best and brightest in our community, having made significant contributions to their respective fields and passion areas," said Kelly Piero, vice president of marketing, communications and public affairs at the chamber. "They represent the next generation of leaders who will drive innovation, inspire change, and shape the future of our region.

"Their dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence are truly admirable. We are thrilled to see them recognized for their remarkable achievements and look forward to the impact they will have on our community and beyond as they continue to make a difference. By highlighting the success of these professionals under 40, we hope to inspire future generations and demonstrate that the possibilities in the Stark County region are limitless.”

Meet the 2022 class: Say hello to the Stark County Twenty under 40! honorees for 2022

It's the 16th year for the program, which is presented by ystark!, a division of the chamber, and The Repository, in conjunction with Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., Aultman, and Weston & Associates.

The Twenty under 40! awards are designed to recognize people who are under 40 and have demonstrated leadership and social responsibility. Program participants are committed to making a difference in the community and having a lasting impact.

This year's class of honorees are:

  • Don Ackerman, 37, lead pastor at Crossroads United Methodist Church and executive director of Canton for All People

  • Andrew Weston Feucht, 35, owner and resident of Weston and Associates

  • Matthew Griffin, 36, associate vice president at the Schauer Group Inc.

  • Andrea Hartman, 32, marketing director at Gervasi Vineyard Resort & Spa

  • Gino Haynes, 35, pastor, community organizer and leadership consultant at Legacy in Action, Canton for All People, and Beacon of Hope Community Church

  • Zach Hostetler, 34, senior vice president of client solutions at Employers Health

  • Kayla Householder, 33, division contract manager at IES Infrastructure

  • Matthew R. Hull, 32, attorney at Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co. LPA

  • Jordan Knapp, 28, supervisor at Hall, Kistler & Co. LLP

  • Rocco Maragas Sr., 39, vice president, chief operating officer at the Charge, Cleveland Cavaliers

  • Brooke Meneses, 33, associate attorney at Plakas Mannos

  • Joseph F. Monaco, 31, chief financial officer at UPL Northern Region, Utility Pipeline Ltd.

  • Skyler Parks, 28, director of business development at the Stark County Minority Business Association

  • Heather Prince, 34, real estate matchmaker at Howard Hanna Real Estate Services

  • Mike Scarpino, 39, associate executive director at the YMCA of Central Stark County

  • Jeff Shaffer, 38, Toyota certified trainer at Williams Toyota Lift

  • Donte Stewart, 38, president at Arrow Passage Recovery

  • Mark Trew, 35, chief operating officer at the Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio

  • Christian Turner, 36, director of public relations and community initiatives at the Stark County Prosecutor’s Office

  • Alex Williamson, 29, assistant executive director at the Boys & Girls Club of Massillon

Nominees were selected on career acumen, community service and trusteeship, and personal and professional achievements. The Twenty under 40! selection committee is comprised of Stark County business and community leaders representing a variety of industry sectors.

Twenty under 40! is presented by ystark! and The Canton Repository, in conjunction with Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co. LPA, Aultman, and Weston & Associates, LLC.
