Twin Cities Krewe de Riviere announced their 2024 King and Queen on Tuesday.

The Krewe's 2024 Royalty is Chris Lewis and Kirstie Bardell.

King and Queen are community members nominated and voted by the community. They will ride in the parade on January 27, 2024, and attend several social events throughout the city.

King

The King is Chris Lewis, owner of Coney Island Connection in West Monroe.

According to his nomination form, Lewis is described as "a very giving person." He has donated to the community, including individual families needing help with medical bills and the Ouachita Live concerts in Downtown Monroe. Lewis also spearheaded a fundraiser for victims affected by the tornado in Rolling Fork, Mississippi.

Queen

The Queen is Kristie Bardell, executive director of the Children's Coalition of Northeast Louisiana.

As described in her nomination form, Bardell is a trailblazer with 20 years of experience in improving health outcomes throughout Louisiana. Bardell continues to ignite CCNELA's momentum in the past year by enhancing their capacity around programming, clinical services, community engagement, and health equity to create thriving communities.
