Twin Valley loses to Lower Dauphin on late field goal

Sep. 3—Brandon Fritz kicked a 24-yard field goal with 1:19 left to lift visiting Lower Dauphin to a 17-14 win over Twin Valley in a non-league football game Friday.

Sophomore quarterback Evan Myers led Twin Valley (1-1) to the Falcons' 39, but the Raiders couldn't convert a last-ditch play as time ran out.

Each team scored twice in the second quarter to go into halftime tied at 14-14.

Lower Dauphin (1-0) took a 7-0 lead on Ty Millhimes' 15-yard run. Twin Valley answered with a 37-yard TD pass from Myers to Josh Zolty.

Millhimes scored on a 75-yard run to put the Falcons up 14-7 before the Raiders tied it on Evan Johnson's 2-yard run.

Myers completed 8-of-19 passes for 90 yards. Zolty had three catches for 51 yards.

Jaydon Goebel led the Raiders in rushing with 58 yards on 15 carries.
