Twista's speedy signing interpreter shocks Twitter: 'She needs a Guinness World Record'

Twista's rapid rhymes proved no problem for one dancing sign language interpreter.

A video from a recent concert went viral Saturday, but it wasn't the 45-year-old rapper, who is considered one of the fastest of all time, that seized the spotlight. Instead, people were captivated by his sign language interpreter, who seemed to keep up with his every word.

In the video, the interpreter dances along to the beat of Twista's song while signing out his rapid-fire verse.

Twitter users marveled at her ability to keep up.

"AND staying on beat!" one user wrote. "I bow down to my Sign Language Interpreting Queen for all the fans! Go girl!"

"O M G! that is awesome!" another wrote. "she is GOOOOOOOOD! i never saw a rap signer & i am thoroughly impressed!! xo"

"She needs a Guinness World Record," wrote another.

Twista, whose real name is Carl Terrell Mitchell, also paid respect to the interpreter, who People and NBC News identified as Amber Galloway Gallego.

"She’s the real MVP for keeping up wit me #summer96 #signlanguagequeen," he wrote on Twitter.

The fast-moving interpreter has translated live performances for artists ranging from Adele to Drake.

Gallego described the importance of having sign language interpreters at concerts in a 2017 interview with Vox.

"If we merely show the sign for music, then we are doing an injustice as an interpreter," she said,

"That's the whole reason to go to music," she added. "It's to be a part of this experience and forget about the rest of the world and be there in that moment, and so many times deaf people are not allowed that experience because we as hearing people choose to say, 'No.' "
