Twisters Soft Serve ice cream acquires new location near the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk

A beloved Murrells Inlet ice cream shop that temporarily closed has found a new location near the MarshWalk.

In early January, Twisters Soft Serve announced that it did not get its ground lease renewed with Lazy Gator.

The 13-year-old ice cream shop announced that it found a new location on Facebook on March 18.

“We are excited to be able to see everyone again very soon...” the post says.

The owners did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

According to a building permit application, the new 336-square-foot property will be located along U.S. 17 Business, near the MarshWalk.

Construction is valued around $40,000.

Twisters is waiting on final approval from the Georgetown County Building Department to begin construction.
