The official Twitter account for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement briefly evaporated from the social media platform on Thursday before reappearing.

The polarizing 17-year-old federal law enforcement agency said its disappearance from Twitter was the product of a tech mishap.

“We’re back!” ICE tweeted at 4:07 p.m. “No hackers, no rogue employees. We had a technical glitch and we appreciate the Twitter team’s help in bringing us back online.”

During the outage, the account displayed a message saying that the user did not exist.

But even after ICE returned to Twitter, the account still appeared to be bothered by some malfunctions. It displayed fewer than 800 followers at 4:20 p.m.
