Twitter decides Pratt is the worst of the Hollywood Chris crew

It began, like all things do, with a prompt from a Twitter user to decide which thing has to go.

Like candy and anything else that can be grouped into a set of four before asking people on social media to pick one, Twitter users have once again tried to solve the age-old (at least since 2012, or so) question: Which Chris has to go?

The fun started Saturday when TV producer Amy Berg asked her followers whom, among the Chrises (Evans, Hemsworth, Pine and Pratt), had to go.

Pratt was the overwhelming choice because of his alleged political and religious views.

Chris Pratt because he’s MAGA. He’s the worst Chris,” user @DrChaeEd wrote, referring to Pratt not joining a Biden-Harris fundraiser hosted by several other of his fellow Marvel movie stars, including Evans and Mark Ruffalo, prominent Trump critics, as well as Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Rudd, Zoe Saldana and “Avengers” directors Joe and Anthony Russo. Robert Downy Jr., perhaps the biggest Marvel star, is also not participating.

“Chris Pratt is part of a church that supports conversion therapy. We’ve been knew who has to go,” user @agonethetic wrote, referencing Hillsong, the megachurch that Pratt may or may not belong to which been accused of anti-LGBTQ activities. Pratt said in the past that his church “opens [its] doors to absolutely everyone.”

Pratt married Katherine Schwarzenegger in June 2019. She is the daughter of former Republican governor of California and past, current and future movie star (and Trump critic) Arnold Schwarenegger. Katherine Schwarzenegger recently urged people on social media to vote for Biden.

Pratt’s political views have surfaced in the past. While he has not publicly announced his support for either President Trump or Joe Biden, he has supported candidates in the past. In 2012, he donated to President Obama’s successful re-election effort. However, he also did not participate in a “Parks and Recreation” reunion that was also a Democratic fundraiser. But he did participate in a “Parks and Recreation” reunion last spring that doubled as a public service announcement about coronavirus safety.

Elsewhere on social media, Pratt has asked people to vote...for the animated film “Onward” at the People’s Choice Awards and shared a not-so-thinly veiled anti-Trump “Atlantic” article written by his father-in-law early last summer.

It’s possible that Chris Pratt has nuanced views about the state of affairs in the nation.
