Twitter, Facebook say China spreading disinformation in Hong Kong

Twitter and Facebook have suspended accounts they believe to be part of a Chinese effort to undermine protests in Hong Kong. Twitter saying it took down nearly one thousand accounts originating in China, while Facebook said it took down five accounts with seven pages that reaches more than 15,000 other accounts. Yahoo Finance has been combing through those tweets - and they all point to a similar narrative pushed by the Chinese. That the controversial extradition law is needed in Hong Kong, they praise hong kong police, and categorize protesters as rioters manipulated by the CIA.
