The Twitter flag read ‘might be misleading about an election or other civic process’
Twitter has flagged President Donald Trump’s Saturday morning tweets as potentially misleading after claims that Biden won the presidential election due to voter fraud.
According to The New York Times, Twitter has taken increased measures to flag Trump’s statements in the days since Election Day on Nov. 3.
“In a series of posts, Mr. Trump focused his ire on Pennsylvania, where a loss in the state would seal his fate as a one-term president. Mr. Trump was trailing former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. by about 28,000 votes when he tweeted,” the publication wrote.
Twitter put warnings on the series of tweets. The warning read, “might be misleading about an election or other civic process.” The social media network also disabled sharing the tweets to prevent them from reaching a wider audience.
Trump recently criticized Twitter, saying, “Twitter is out of control, made possible through the government gift of Section 230.”
I WON THIS ELECTION, BY A LOT!

Trump tweeted Saturday morning, proclaiming, “I won this election, by a lot” in which Twitter added a warning label reading, “Official sources may not have called the race when this was tweeted.”
John Matze, CEO of Parler called Twitter’s censorship of the president “pretty ludicrous” according to Newsweek.
During an appearance on Fox & Friends on Saturday, Matze accused the wesbite for “interfering” with the president’s free speech.
“I don’t think it’s possible for Twitter to say with a 100 percent fact that there’s not one mistake in the election and that there is not one fraudulent vote so fact checking the president on all of this is pretty ludicrous,” Matze said.
“Frankly, I think it’s part of our election process that allows [us] to check the results and re-counts so what they are doing is really interfering with what he is trying to say. People should be able to listen and judge for themselves,” Matze concluded.
On Wednesday, Twitter reportedly censored Trump over claims that large number of ballots were “secretly dumped.”
