Twitter reacts after NFL announces Scouting Combine to remain in Indianapolis
The NFL Scouting Combine is staying in Indianapolis in 2023 and '24.
The showcase for players eligible for the NFL Draft has been held in Indy since 1987, but the league put it up for bid for the first time this time around. Los Angeles and Dallas also bid for the event that takes places in late February and early March.
Plusses for Indy: The event organization, access to medical services and ability to get between places without going outside. Minuses: The weather can be terrible in Indy at that time of year, and Los Angeles has new facilities the NFL wants to showcase.

Points made inside the owners meeting on the combine and Indy ...
• Indy has stepped up with community partnerships and money.
• One focus is on improving the player experience, and it's easier to do it building on the known.
• Indy remains logistically ideal for the event.— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) May 24, 2022

Also heard this wasn't so much the NFL simply realizing the combine works best in Indianapolis, but the organizers from Indy putting together a very strong bid. It's always about the money, right?

Keeping the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis is such a smart move that I’m shocked the league did it.

The NFL Combine will stay in Indianapolis for at least the next 2 more years, the league announces.
Perfect. Indianapolis works beautifully for the Combine. Everything flows. You don’t need a car to get everywhere you need to go downtown. No need to mess with an ideal situation.— Andrew Mason (@MaseDenver) May 24, 2022
There's no event I regularly attend that is run more efficiently than the NFL Combine. https://t.co/JfjZ4BSttX
