The Colts dropped a pair of bombshells on Monday. First, they fired head coach Frank Reich midway through his fifth season with the team. Less than an hour later, they named franchise legend Jeff Saturday the interim head coach, despite having two assistants with NFL head coaching experience on staff.

As best as I can tell, Jeff Saturday becomes the first person in NFL history to be named a head coach without any coaching experience at either the NFL or college level.
