HGTV and DIYs go hand-in-hand, and you'd be lying if you said watching a marathon of Fixer Upper didn't motivate you to get off the couch and grab tools to finally work on those squeaky cabinets. But just because the mood for a DIY project has struck, doesn't mean it should be followed through, and in some Twitter users' opinion, one person went into a door makeover without a clear vision in mind.

“Instagram Influencers trying to DIY their homes is my new favorite sh*t,” the tweet reads. Accompanying the candid thought is a before-and-after of a door: one painted a robin's egg blue and one appearing to have been stripped of its paint.

Of course, Twitter users instantly began sharing their unfiltered thoughts, primarily trying to understand if the photos had been mislabeled: “[I] spent what felt like an eternity switching between photo 1 and photo 2 trying to figure out whether they accidentally mixed up their photos or not.” Another added, “Please tell me they mixed up the before and after.”

Others weren’t sure if the project was even complete: “Are they gonna repaint/refinish or???” One person, clearly an HGTV fan, commented: “It’s like a reverse Fixer Upper.” And two individuals in particular were trying to figure out what exactly had been done to the door:

In a follow-up tweet, the Twitter account @generalslug shared a video from Instagram account @tifforelie—where he first saw the door's before-and-after pictures. In the 15-second video, Instagrammer Tiffany shares what was done to her home’s door. “It had 10 paint coats and they just sanded it all down to the original wood,” she said. “Look at how beautiful.”

At the end of the day, as long as Tiffany's happy with her project, does it really matter what the internet thinks? You can't please everyone, and as long as it works for you, well, you do you.
