  • Billie Eilish chatted with Variety about how cool it is to be nominated for the Grammys.

  • In the interview, Billie ended up making comments about Lady Gaga's 2010 meat dress, but what Billie said upset the Little Monsters fandom.

Even if you didn't watch the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards yourself, there's no way you didn't hear about that iconic moment when Lady Gaga walked onto the red carpet wearing a meat dress. The jaw-dropping dress was literally made of raw beef. The meat dress was such a statement that people are still talking about it almost ten years later. In an interview with Variety, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas, ended up discussing the fashion moment themselves, but it seems like Billie's comments rubbed some of the Little Monsters (Gaga's fandom) the wrong way. A Lady Gaga fan account turned the the hashtag #BillieEilishIsOverParty into a trending topic, but cancelling someone like Billie isn't so easy, when she's got millions of loyal fans.

In the interview, Billie talks about what an honor it is to be nominated for some Grammys, especially when she grew up watching the music awards show.

Billie said that she would pay more attention to the fashion than the music, when her brother Finneas bought up the time Lady Gaga wore a meat dress.

Though he mistakenly thought she wore it to the Grammys, Lady Gaga actually donned it for the 2010 MTV VMAs. When Finneas brings up the dress, Billie simply says, "Yiiiiikes," but the Little Monsters took the comment as straight shade and they didn't have anything nice to say.

But Billie's comments are no surprise. She's been open about being vegan, so it's totally expected that she'd find Gaga's dress to be gross.

People on Twitter spoke out in her defense, calling out those who thought it was unnecessary to bully a 17-year-old girl.

Neither Billie Eilish nor Lady Gaga have commented on the situation, which probably means neither of them are fazed. This is the second time in a week people on Twitter have tried to cancel Billie.

I think it's time they leave her alone.
