Twitter users have some things to say about Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's 'Venn diagram'
Gov. Scott Walker signed lame-duck legislation today at a news conference in Green Bay. The legislation scales back the authority of Gov.-elect Tony Evers.
To explain the changes in the law, Walker brought along some visual aids, including one intended to look like a Venn diagram. You know how those charts work. It's two circles that overlap to demonstrate a relationship between two sets. The similarities go in the middle and the differences go in the outer circles.
But Walker's didn't include any differences.
People took notice of that misuse of a Venn diagram and sounded off on social media.

I mean, the #WisconsinPowerGrab is clearly just awful. But starting in January, at least we'll have a new governor who knows what a proper Venn Diagram should look like... #wiunion #wigov #wiresist

I will give $100 to the first journalist who asks Walker if he was too intimidated to announce this in Madison. $200 if you also ask him to define what a Venn diagram is. https://t.co/WaJDwSo4CP

Wisconsin Republicans continue their war on data visuals today with this abomination of a Venn diagram pic.twitter.com/PbGf2akLnV

Ironic or intentional that they misused a Venn diagram? Pro tip: the middle part is what's similar, the left and right sides are what's different.

Does that Venn diagram really just list the same things on each side? Instant contender for bad chart hall of fame.

A Venn diagram is one of the simplest graphs in the world to make. https://t.co/66o0pmyumM

So a lot of Madison elites are laughing at Scott Walker for not understanding how Venn diagrams work but...ah...that is pretty bad pic.twitter.com/Cbe3ews1KA

Nearly as mad about how they don't understand how Venn diagrams work as the signing.

I ask this seriously: Is one of the future governor's powers the ability to correctly deploy a Venn diagram? https://t.co/zDJDNLZYUX

Inspired by @ScottWalker's Venn diagram and @lainey_seyler's aggregation of responses on Twitter (https://t.co/K2nepvSeFm), I decided to hastily throw together a Bucks-Cavs preview Venn diagram for tonight's game at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy! pic.twitter.com/QSovf1JfL3
