Two Arkansans win total of $375,000 in Arkansas Scholarship Lottery

SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Springdale woman claimed $350,000 and a Hot Springs Village man won $25,000 from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, according to a news release.

Ma C., of Springdale, claimed the top prize from a $20 $350,000 Riches instant game from a ticket that was sold at Circle K in Springdale.

She purchased the ticked as part of her daily lottery playing. Ma told ASL she prefers scratch-off games and typically selects $10 and $20 tickets but will occasionally play a $3 game. That day she chose a $20 ticket.

She began scratching off the ticket while in the gas station and found out she won the top prize.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Ma said to lottery officials. She cried and called her husband to tell him the good news.

This is the biggest prize she has won and says she intends to buy a house with her winnings.

In the same release, Lonzo Ford of Hot Springs Village won $25,000 on Feb. 21 when he purchased a ticket at Good Spirits in Hot Springs.

Ford has missed one LOTTO drawing since it launched in 2022 and says he always purchases a ticket that has five sets of digits for one drawing. Most of the sets include 13, his lucky number.

Ford told officials he plans to buy a new trailer for his clutter removal business with his winnings.
