Two arrested after alleged carjacking ends in crash

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Two people have been taken into custody after a carjacking ended in a crash in northwest Oklahoma City.

According to Oklahoma City Police, a car was stolen around 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning. The car was found crashed shortly after near NW 16th St. and MacArthur Blvd.

Officials say the suspect tried to leave the scene on foot but was apprehended by a police K-9 and a passenger was also arrested.

When the suspect crashed the vehicle, police say a small fire started but was quickly put out by fire crews and officers were able to find the owner of the vehicle.
