2 arrested in Dillon County on charges of running illegal bar

DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Raids earlier this month ended with two people arrested on charges of selling alcohol without a license, the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office said on its Facebook page Monday.

Marion and Dillon County deputies teamed with SLED on Jan. 18 to conduct undercover buys at the former Little Philly Sports Bar, located at U.S. 301 South.

The illicit sale let deputies obtain a search warrant and arrest Jamie Jermaine Baker, 49, of Philadelphia.

He’s charged with the unlawful sale or manufacture of alcohol, unlawful storage of alcohol in a place of business and failure to secure a required beer or wine sale permit.

Baker was released Jan. 25 after posting a $1,400 bond, according to court records.

On Friday night, authorities made another undercover buy at The B Hive on 2318 Kentyre Road in Dillon.

Deputies later arrested Brian Cornelius Dudley, 38, of Dillon. He’s charged with unlawful sale or manufacture of alcohol, unlawful storage of alcohol in a place of business and failure to secure a required beer or wine sale permit.

Authorities said they also found 290 Oxycodone pills in five unmarked bottles, leading to a charge of possession with intent to distribute narcotics.

Dudley was scheduled for a bond hearing on Sunday.
