Two arrested on murder charges in Wednesday Fayetteville slaying
Two Fayetteville men were arrested late Wednesday on first-degree murder charges in an early morning quadruple shooting off Rim Road, the Fayetteville Police Department said Thursday.
Tyrone Demetrius Washington, 21, and Treshaun Lewis Geddie, 21, are each charged with felony conspiracy, discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling, two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder in the deaths of Aljarez Elliott, 18, and Alzy Diamond, 24, and the shootings of two other men, according to a news release.
The four were shot about 3:15 a.m. in the 700 block of Rembrandt Drive, police said. Elliott and Diamond were pronounced dead at the scene, while the two surviving victims, whose names were not released, were taken to the hospital. One man was listed in critical condition and the other sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to a news release.
The victims, who were "hanging out" at a Rembrandt Drive home, reportedly got into an argument with Washington and Geddie over the phone prior to the shooting, the release said. Washington and Geddie then arrived at the home and an altercation occurred that led to the fatal shooting, according to the release.

Washington and Geddie are each being held in the Cumberland County jail without bail, the release said.
