The election is to fill the seat of Nathan Barrett, who was elected to become Harrison County Supervisor.

The candidates are:

Kevin Kostmayer said he will work with the mayor and council to make sure Woolmarket gets what’s been promised to Ward 7.

His priorities are

Create a long-term plan for neighborhoods that promotes economic development, parks and recreation areas and a sense of identity

Work on core infrastructure needs

Take care of police and firefighters, respect the work they do and support their needs

David Shoemaker, a former Biloxi Police officer and internal affairs investigator, he will work to offer competitive compensation, affordable insurance and a friendly work environment to all city employees.

His priorities are:

Ensure that ditches are cleaned, roads are in good shape and implement a plan for new infrastructure

Common sense development
