Two Cantonment teens critically injured in dirt bike crash near Lincoln Street

Two Cantonment teens were left in critical condition after their dirt bike collided with a pickup truck Sunday afternoon in Escambia County.

The blue Yamaha dirt bike occupied by the teens, both males age 19 and 12, was traveling eastbound on Lincoln Street in Cantonment towards County Road 297A at approximately 3:50 p.m., according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. Both occupants were not believed to be wearing helmets.

The pickup truck, driven by a 52-year-old Molino woman, was traveling northbound on County Road 297A, traversing through the intersection with Lincoln St. The 19-year-old dirt bike driver failed to stop at the stop sign, causing the front of the bike to collide with the driver side door area of the pickup truck.

Both dirt bike occupants were transported to Sacred Heart Hospital, where they were listed in critical condition. The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.
