Three Cape Cod hotels receive Forbes Five-Star hospitality awards

The lap of luxury may be located in the arm of Massachusetts.

The Wequasset Resort and Golf Club in Harwich, the Chatham Bars Inn and the Chatham Inn in Chatham have all received the prestigious Forbes Five Star award. Wequasssett’s fine dining restaurant, Twenty-Eight Atlantic, also received a Forbes Five-Star award.

The Forbes Travel Guide is the only global rating system for luxury restaurant hotels and spas.

This is the eighth straight year Wequasset Resort and Golf Club has received the award and the second straight year the Chatham Inn has maintained its status.

The three Cape Cod getaways join rarified air. There are only 323 Five-Star hotels in the world, according to the Chatham Inn.

Built in 1830, the Chatham Inn is the oldest continually operating inn on Cape Cod.

The Chatham Bars Inn was established in 1914 and offers waterfront amenities such as saltwater baths and fresh farm-to-table food.
